Lake Wise Program

Long Creek Resources is currently conducting Lake Wise assessments for Echo Lake, Amherst Lake, and Lake Pauline. Lake Wise is a free, voluntary, and non-regulatory technical assistance program for lakeshore homeowners and shoreland properties, including public spaces like state parks and town beaches. The Lake Wise Program is operated by the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources. You can read more about the program here.

Schedule an Assessment

Assessments are ideal for property owners seeking recommendations for erosion prevention, flood mitigation, native plantings, invasive species management, or improving lake access while protecting water quality. Properties that already have outstanding management practices in place will receive a Lake Wise award after an assessment.

A Lake Wise assessment includes a site visit from the Long Creek Resources team (up to 90 minutes), followed by a custom report for each property including recommendations for improvement and related resources.
